Family brewers Batemans have been brewing beer since 1874 when George and Suzanna Bateman sold their farm to rent a small brewery in Wainfleet. Neither knew much about brewing, but fortunately they bought their equipment from Edwin Crowe who also passed on all his knowledge. He also passed on his brewer who, although blind and ready for retirement, stayed on for several more years.  

This wonderful 'Combined Harvest' Multigrain Beer was a Gold Medal Winner at the International Beer and Cider Awards in 2002, and the Best Harvest Pale Ale in the World's Best Beer Competition in 2007.  A unique combination of brewing 'worts' (or extracts from a variety of cereals) with oodles of flavour.  A grainy, mouthfilling taste with an allurinly floral, spicy start and finish.
